DUA Assistance at Career Centers

Mr. Ayers of Quincy moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

SECTION X. Chapter 151A of the Massachusetts General Laws is hereby amended by striking out the first paragraph of Section 62A (a) and inserting in place thereof a new paragraph as follows:

Section 62A (a) The division of unemployment assistance shall be required to provide in-person assistance at all Mass Hire Career Centers. The Director shall maintain walk-in service, which includes the provision of general information, application assistance, claims information, and the requirement to conduct claims hearings on site in the Mass Hire Career Centers.
