Amendment #723 to H4600

Emergency Housing Assistance Reporting & Domestic Violence Victims

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Ferguson of Holden, Frost of Auburn, Gifford of Wareham, Barrows of Mansfield and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XX. Chapter 77 of the Acts of 2023 is hereby amended by striking out the words, ‘and (viii) any projected deficiency in funds related to said crisis in fiscal year 2024 and projected costs related to said crisis through the end of fiscal year 2025’, and inserting in place thereof the following language:-

(viii) any projected deficiency in funds related to said crisis in fiscal year 2024 and projected costs related to said crisis through the end of fiscal year 2025; and (ix) the total number of individuals on the waitlist for the emergency housing assistance program who have lived in Massachusetts for a minimum of 12 months that have reported seeking shelter due to domestic violence;”
