AN ACT RELATIVE TO POST-RETIREMENT EMPLOYMENT OF PUBLIC RETIREES

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide for post-retirement employment of public retirees, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 91 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 97, the words “nine hundred and sixty” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 1,200.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect as of July 1, 2021.

This Bill having been returned by His Excellency the Governor with his objections thereto in writing (see House 4048) has been passed by the  House of Representatives, notwithstanding  said objections, two-thirds of the House (158 yeas to 0 nays) having agreed to pass the same.
