An Act Designating the City of Salem as the Birthplace of the National Guard.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 2 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 59 the following section:-
Section 60.
SECTION 1.
The Department of Highways shall erect and maintain a suitable marker at Route 1A at the Salem/Beverly line and at Route 114 at the Salem/Marblehead line designating the City of Salem as the birthplace of the National Guard. Said marker shall be in compliance with the standards of said department.
SECTION 2.
This action shall take effect upon its passage.
