An Act Establishing a Sick Leave Bank for Maurice Jandreau.
Whereas
, The deferred operation for this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to make to immediately est
ablish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the Massachusetts Trial Court/Worcester Office, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the
Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1: Notwithstanding any special or general law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the
Massachusetts Trial Court/Worceste
r Office
shall establish a sick leave bank for
Maurice Jandreau
,
an employee of the department. Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute one or more sick, personal or
vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by
Maurice Jandreau
. Whenev
er
Maurice Jandreau
terminates
employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave
bank shall be transferred to the
Massachusetts Trial Court/Worcester Office
extended sick leave bank. Sick leave bank d
ays may not be used for
absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as
determined by the department.
