An Act Relative to special police officers in the Fitchburg police department.
By Mr. DiNatale of Fitchburg and Senator Flanagan, a joint petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4104) of Stephen L. DiNatale and Jennifer L. Flanagan (with the approval of the mayor and city council) relative to the appointment of special police officers in the city of Fitchburg, notwithstanding the maximum age requirement. Public Service. [Local Approval Received.]
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 1 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the maximum age for a uniform member of the Fitchburg police department, who has been appointed as a special police officer, shall be the last day of the month that the uniform member of the department attains the age of 70.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
