An Act authorizing certain tax revenue in the town of Wareham to be used for capital improvements
By Representative Gifford of Wareham and Senator Pacheco, a joint petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4390) of Susan Williams Gifford and Marc R. Pacheco (by vote of the town) for legislation to allocate the local option meal tax for the purchase of capital items. Revenue. [Local Approval Received.]
SECTION 1. All sums received by the town of Wareham pursuant to section 2 of chapter 64L of the General Laws shall be used for capital items, as defined by the Wareham town charter, and shall be in addition to the town’s annual budget for capital items.
The existing Wareham town charter and by-laws for bringing capital items before town meeting shall remain in force.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
