Comerford (with the approval of the city council) that the city known as the town of Greenfield be authorized to lease a certain parcel of land on Leyden Road in said town.  Municipalities and Regional Government.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the city known as the town of Greenfield to lease a certain parcel of land.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the city known as the town of Greenfield may lease a certain parcel of land on Leyden road in the town of Greenfield to Just Roots, Inc. for a term not to exceed 30 years. Said parcel is approximately 61 acres and is a portion of the property described in a deed recorded with the Franklin county registry of deeds at book 155, page 44. The lease shall be for agricultural purposes; provided, that the lease may permit the use of land that is not protected by the agricultural protection restriction recorded with the Franklin county registry of deeds at book 7342, page 175 may be used for non-agricultural purposes permitted by the town, including solar electricity generation and materials storage.
