An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Kathleen Rezendes, an employee of the Department of Transitional Assistance. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the Department of Transitional Assistance, therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the Department of Transitional Assistance shall establish a sick leave bank for Kathleen Rezendes, an employee of the Department of Transitional Assistance. An employee of the Department of Transitional Assistance my voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Kathleen Rezendes. Whenever Kathleen Rezendes terminates employment with the Department of Transitional Assistance or requests to dissolve the sick the leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the Department of Transitional Assistance paid sick leave bank. Sick leave bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the Department of Transitional Assistance. |
