The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to MassHealth providing medically necessary treatments for members diagnosed with autism .
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. MassHealth shall cover medically necessary treatments for members diagnosed with autism. Treatments covered will include but not be limited to Applied Behavior Analysis supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. MassHealth will take necessary actions such as seeking approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in order to cover the medically necessary treatments. |
