The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act authorizing the city of Taunton to lease a certain parcel of land.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to [Emergency Preamble Text] convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of section 1 of chapter 53 of the acts of 1991 is hereby amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- Said parcel of land is shown on a plan of land, drawn by the city of Taunton engineering department, entitled “Plan of Land in Taunton, Massachusetts, Including Expansion Area to be Leased for a Head Start Facility”, dated October 1, 2008, which is on file in the engineering department of the city.
SECTION 2. The second paragraph of said section 1 of said chapter 53 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The lease shall be for a period to be determined by said municipal council not to exceed 50 years.
SECTION 3. The sixth paragraph of said section 1 of said chapter 53 is hereby amended by inserting after the words “political application,” the following words:- sexual orientation.
