The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to funeral and burial expenses.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 41 of the General Laws is hereby amended in Section 100G by striking out the words “two thousand” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “$7,500” SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the recipients of a death benefit under Section 100A of Chapter 32 shall also receive a reasonable amount, not to exceed $7,5000, for funeral and burial expenses. The state board of retirement shall adopt regulations to administer said benefit. |
