The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to nursing education faculty to student ratios.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is amended, by insterting at the end thereof, the following new section:-
SECTION 225. Nursing Education Clinical Requirements
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services shall promulgate regulations relative to the guidelines for clinical education experiences in nursing, and, as part of these regulations, shall set the faculty to student ratio in the clinical setting as no more than 1:6 in all acute care settings.
