By Mr. Collins of Boston, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2939) of Nick Collins relative to requiring certain motor vehicle surcharges and court costs be used for firefighter salaries.  Public Service.

An Act relative to surcharges and court costs associated with motor vehicles.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, fifty percent of all vehicle insurance surcharges and fifty percent of all court costs associated with motor vehicles may be used for professional firefighter salaries in municipalities throughout the Commonwealth.
