An Act to prohibit abuse of prescription drugs prescription. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 94C of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following new sections: Section XX. “tamper resistant formulation,” prescription medication that contains a controlled release caption that is difficult to crush, chew, grind or dissolve, or when tampered with has physical or chemical properties that prevent snorting, injection, smoking, or oral administration or include the addition of aversive or blocking agents. Section XX. No pharmacy in the Commonwealth shall issue prescriptions for medications containing more than 10mg of oxycodone, unless said drug has a tamper resistant formulation. |
