An Act relative to behavioral health emergency services. . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the so-called Medicaid managed care organizations and any entity with whom they contract to manage behavioral health benefits for MassHealth members, shall pay to organizations providing emergency services on behalf of the commonwealth through contracts with the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership, the same rates for adult emergency and crisis services that the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership paid for emergency services as of January 1, 2010 in the following settings: Hospital-based; community-based; mobile response; and community crisis stabilization. |
