The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act authorization by a town meeting vote of certain contracts made by the town of Middleborough regarding the sale by the town of water or wastewater treatment services .
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding section 4A of chapter 40 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law, rule
or regulation to the contrary, any agreement for a term of more than 2 years made by the town of
Middleborough with any other governmental unit regarding sale by the town of water or wastewater
service shall be subject to authorization by vote of a town meeting.
