AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF BROOKLINE TO LEASE TOWN-OWNED PROPERTY FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWENTY YEARS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1
.
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Town of
Brookline
is hereby authorized to lease the town-owned property located at
19-25 Kennard Road
, Parcel ID NO. 322/01-00 to Brookline Music School Inc. for another period not exceeding twenty years. Said time period is in addition to the twenty year period previously granted pursuant to Chapter 294 of the Acts of 1993. Any such lease shall be upon
terms and conditions as the Board of Selectmen and School Committee shall determine to be in the best interest of the Town,
provided, however, that the lease shall be subject to subsections (a), (b) and (g)
of section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws
.
Section 2
.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
