An Act Designating a Certain Pedestrian Bridge in the City of Revere as the Christina Markey and John Markey Memorial Pedestrian Bridge and the new maintenance facility for the Department of Conservation and Recreation located in the city of Revere as the Captain Arthur “Icy” Reinstein Memorial Maintenance Facility. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. The pedestrian bridge connecting Massachusetts bay transportation authority’s Wonderland station to Revere Beach spanning Ocean avenue located in the city of Revere shall be designated and known as the Christina and John Markey Memorial Pedestrian Bridge, in honor of a couple who represent the millions of families who have flocked to Revere Beach, seeking respite and relaxation at this urban oasis along the Atlantic Ocean. The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain a plaque bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department. SECTION 2. The new maintenance facility at Revere Beach located in the city of Revere shall be designated and known as the Captain Arthur “Icy” Reinstein Memorial Maintenance Facility, in honor of the former metropolitan district police captain and lifelong resident of the city of Revere who’s passion for Revere, its beach and its citizens endures from generation to generation. The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designations in compliance with the standards of the department. |
