Pursuant to the provisions of Article II, Section 8, Paragraph 1, Clause (2) of the Amendments to the Constitution, as amended by Article LXXXIX, I am filing for your consideration the attached legislation entitled, “An Act Validating Action Taken at an Annual Town Meeting, an Annual Town Election of Town Officers, a Special Town Meeting, an Additional Special Town Meeting, and a Special Election Held in the Town of Wilbraham.”

An Act Validating Action Taken at an Annual Town Meeting, an Annual Town Election of Town Officers, a Special Town Meeting, an Additional Special Town Meeting, and a Special Election Held in the Town of Wilbraham.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House
of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding section 9A of chapter 39 and section 10 of chapter 39 of the General Laws or any other special law or by-law to the contrary, the acts and proceedings taken by the Town of Wilbraham at the annual town meeting held on May 11, 2009, on May 16, 2009 at the annual town election, and on June 15, 2009; and all actions taken at a special town meeting held on May 11, 2009; and all actions taken at a special town meeting held on October 5, 2009; and all actions taken at a special town election held on October 20, 2009; and all actions taken pursuant thereto, are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed to the extent as if the warrants for the said annual town meeting and special town meetings, and elections of town officers and a special election held on October 20, 2009, had been published in full compliance with law and town by-law. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage . |
