An Act validating certain proceedings of the Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School District.
Whereas
, The deferred operation for this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to allow the town of
Oakham
to join the Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School District, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding 603 CMR 41.03 or any general or special law to the contrary, t he department of elementary and secondary education shall allow the town of Oakham to become a member of the Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School District in accordance with the vote taken by the town on October 29, 2009 and the members of the regional school district on November 9, 2009 by Palmer; November 18, 2009 by Monson; November 23, 2009 by Ware; December 17, 2009 by New Braintree; February 24, 2010 by Hardwick; April 26, 2010 by Granby; May 10, 2010 by Belchertown; and June 8, 2010 by Warren. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on July 1, 2010 . |
