An Act relative to Parole Board membership and reporting. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Section 4 of chapter 27 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is herby amended by striking out, in lines 41 and 42, the words “the governor may designate one of the members to act as chairman during such an absence or disability” and inserting in place thereof the following:- the member with the most service time as a member of said board shall act as chairman during such absence or disability. SECTION 2. Said section 4 of said chapter 27, as so appearing, is herby further amended by inserting after the word “office” in line 47 the following words:- private employment, SECTION 3. Section 131A of chapter 127 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is herby amended by inserting after the word “thereof”, in line 5, the following words: - and shall include the parolee’s address of primary residence, and any addresses of secondary residence. Not less than 24 hours following the effective date of any employment, the parole officer assigned to the parolee shall notify in writing the department of state police, the police department in the city or town to which the parolee will return of such parole, and the district court with jurisdiction in the city or town to which the parolee will return of such employment. |
