An Act relative to the tort liability of hospitals..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 85K of chapter 231 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “costs” in line 8 the following: — provided, however, in the case of a hospital where the tort results in death the liability in any such cause of action shall not be less than $100,000.
