An Act Relative to Discrimination Because of a Known Relationship or Association With a Handicapped Individual. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1: Subsection 2 of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in line 72 “any person alleging to be a qualified handicapped person,” the following words:- “or because of a known relationship or association of any person alleging to be a qualified individual to a handicapped person” SECTION 2: Subsection 3 of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in lines 85 and 89 “qualified handicapped person” the following words:- “, or because of a known relationship or association of any qualified person individual to a handicapped person” SECTION 3: Subsection 3B of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words in line 106 “or handicap” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “handicap, or known relationship or association to someone with a handicap” SECTION 4: Subsection 3C of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words in line 139 “or handicap” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “handicap, or known relationship or association to someone with a handicap” SECTION 5: Subsection 6, Clause (a), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in lines 167 and 168 “or has any other handicap” the following words:- “, or because of a known relationship or association to an individual with a handicap” SECTION 6: Subsection 6, Clause (b), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended inserting at the end thereof the following words:- “or because of a known relationship or association to an individual with a handicap;” SECTION 7: Subsection 6, Clause (c), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words in line 183 “or because such a person is blind, or hearing impaired or has any other handicap” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “because such a person is blind, or hearing impaired or has any other handicap, or because of a known relationship or association to an individual with a handicap” SECTION 8: Subsection 7, Clause (a), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended inserting at the end thereof the following words:- “or because of a known relationship or association to an individual with a handicap;” SECTION 9: Subsection 7, Clause (b), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the following words in line 237 “or other handicap,” the following words:- “or because of a known relationship or association to an individual with a handicap;” SECTION 10: Subsection 7, Clause (c), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in line 246 “or other handicap,” the following words:- “or because of a known relationship or association to an individual with a handicap;” SECTION 11: Subsection 7B of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words in line 342“or handicap” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “handicap, or known relationship or association with a handicapped person” SECTION 12: Subsection 8, Clause (1), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in line 351 “ancestry handicap” the following words:- “, a known relationship or association with someone with an ancestry handicap,” SECTION 13: Subsection 8, Clause (2), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in line 355 “ancestry, handicap,” the following words:- “known relationship or association with a handicapped person,” SECTION 14: Subsection 8, Clause (3), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in line 362 “ancestry, handicap,” the following words:- “known relationship or association with a handicapped person,” SECTION 15: Subsection 13, Clause (a), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in line 475 “or a handicapped person” the following words:- “or known relationships or association with a handicapped person,” SECTION 16: Subsection 13, Clause (b), of Section 4 of Chapter 151B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words in line 485“or a handicapped person” the following words:- “or known relationships or association with a
