The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to the Homestead Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 188 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 official edition, is hereby amended by replacing the period at the end of subsection (6) with a semicolon and inserting after subsection (6) the following:
(7 ) for a tort liability, for which the cause of action occurred prior to the acquisition of said estate of homestead.
