[Sponsors] Representatives Peake of Provincetown, Cariddi of North Adams, Madden of Nantucket, Puppolo of Springfield, Speranzo of Pittsfield, Collins of Boston, McMurtry of Dedham, Turner of Dennis, Swan of Springfield, Mark of Hancock, Khan of Newton, Ashe of Longmeadow and Gifford of Wareham move to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 7008-0900, in line 4 by inserting after “services;” the following: “provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be made available through a grant application process established by the office of travel and tourism to offset deficits that may occur during fiscal year 2012 for the highway information centers operating year round on state highways and federally-assisted highways and the visitor information centers on Boston Common and at the Prudential Center, both in the city of Boston, and the Adams Visitor Center in the town of Adams;”; and in said item by striking out the figure “$1,788,167” and inserting in place thereof the figure “$2,788,167”
