TURI Language Restoration

[Sponsors] Representatives Gobi of Spencer, Ferrante of Gloucester, Kaufman of Lexington, Smizik of Brookline, Alicea of Charlton, Ehrlich of Marblehead, Balser of Newton, Garry of Dracut, Provost of Somerville and Dykema of Holliston move that the bill be amended in section 2, in item 2210-0105, by inserting after “implementation requirements of said chapter 21I;” the following:

“ provided, that not less than $1,629,860 from this item shall be made available for the operation of the Toxics Use Reduction Institute program at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell; provided further, that the department shall enter into an interagency service agreement with the University of Massachusetts to make the funding available for this purpose; provided further, that not less than $644,096 from this item shall be made available for toxics use reduction technical assistance and technology in accordance with chapter 21I of the General Laws”.
