Amendment #111 to H4100

ITD Public records response analysis

Mr. Kocot of Northampton moves to amend the bill in section 2, in  item 1790-0100, at the end thereof, by inserting after "resources"  the following: "… provided, the division shall examine the information technology capabilities of each state agency to assess said agencies’ ability to respond to public records inquiries with web-based and “e document” response formats, using state of the art computer technology, including, but not limited to “cloud” computing systems and links to personal electronic communication devices, provided, further, that the division shall expend not less than $200,000 for the purposes of said analysis, and provided, further, that the division shall provide a report of its findings, including cost estimates to modernize the Commonwealth’s public records response capabilities, to the joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight and the House and Senate Committees on Ways and Means no later than October 15, 2013"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$3,195,378" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$3,395,378".
