Amendment #546 to H4100

Health Care for Employees of the Bristol County Sheriff's Office

Representatives Cabral of New Bedford, Aguiar of Fall River, Koczera of New Bedford, Howitt of Seekonk, Schmid of Westport, Ross of Attleboro, Markey of Dartmouth and Sullivan of Fall River moves to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following section:

“SECTION XX: There shall be established and set up on the books of the Commonwealth a fund for employees of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office, to be paid on behalf of employees of said office who are covered by collective bargaining agreements in amounts equal to the difference between the amount the employee would pay as an employee contribution for the health insurance plan that the employee chooses from among those offered to the employee by the Group Insurance Commission and five percent of the total cost of said coverage."
