  Section 20A. Subject to such annual appropriation as may be made for the purpose, the sergeant-at-arms may purchase at the expense of the commonwealth such uniforms for himself, the doorkeepers, assistant doorkeepers, general court officers and pages as he may determine.

  Section 20A. Subject to appropriation, the sergeant-at-arms may purchase uniforms for the sergeant-at-arms, general court officers and pages as the sergeant-at-arms may determine.
