  Section 174A. No dog whose killing is authorized under the provisions of this chapter shall be put to death in a carbon monoxide chamber unless such chamber is supplied with gas by an engine or gas generator that will produce a minimum of four per cent concentration of carbon monoxide within five minutes, the gas used is cooled and filtered before entering such chamber, and the temperature of the gas inside such chamber does not exceed a temperature of eight-five degrees Fahrenheit.

Chapter 140: Section 174A. Euthanizing of dogs or cats by barbiturates

  Section 174A. A dog or cat whose killing is authorized under this chapter shall be euthanized only by the administration of barbiturates in a manner deemed acceptable by the American Veterinary Medical Association Guidelines on Euthanasia or as otherwise allowed in section 151A.
