Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Item 2120-8844 of section 2B of chapter 723 of the acts of 1983 is hereby amended by inserting after the word "eighty", in line 9, the words:- ; provided, however, that the department of environmental management may contract with the National Park Service of the United States Department of the Interior for the rehabilitation of certain historic structures in the Lowell Urban Heritage State Park and for the purpose of such contract shall be exempt from the provisions of section fifty-two of chapter thirty of the General Laws and from sections forty-four A to forty-four H, inclusive, of chapter one hundred and forty-nine of the General Laws;.

SECTION 2. Item 2121-9731 of section 2 of chapter 234 of the acts of 1984 is hereby amended by striking out the wording and inserting in place thereof the following wording:- For the purposes of a federally funded grant entitled, Recreational Capital Expenditures - Federal Share; provided, however, that the department of environmental management may contract with the National Park Service of the United States Department of the Interior for the rehabilitation of certain historic structures in the Lowell Urban Heritage State Park and for the purpose of such contract shall be exempt from the provisions of section fifty-two of chapter thirty of the General Laws and from sections forty-four A to forty-four H, inclusive, of chapter one hundred and forty-nine of the General Laws `tcol=1;c1=15,53,tur `tc1 General Federal Grants Fund 100.0% `tcol;end
