CHAPTER 318 AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE USE OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE BY THE CITY OF CHELSEA.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section sixty-three of chapter forty-four of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city of Chelsea is hereby authorized to expend for any governmental purposes, the proceeds from the sale of the real estate known as the Chelsea post office located on Hawthorn street in said city; provided, however, that there is no indebtedness outstanding relative to such real estate at the time of said sale.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
