CHAPTER 38 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF WEYMOUTH TO PAY A CERTAIN SUM OF MONEY TO ANTHONY GIORGI.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The town of Weymouth is hereby authorized to appropriate, and after such appropriation, the treasurer of said town is hereby authorized to pay to Anthony Giorgi, a police officer in the police department in said town, a sum not to exceed forty thousand dollars for the purpose of paying attorneys' fees incurred by said police officer in defending himself from criminal charges arising out of the course of his employment in said town.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
