CHAPTER 112 AN ACT REQUIRING PUBLIC NOTICE BEFORE ELECTIONS TO FILL VACANCIES IN TOWN OFFICES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 10 of chapter 41 of the General Laws, as amended by chapter 34 of the acts of 1985, is hereby further amended by adding the following paragraph:- No election shall be held for any office pursuant to this section unless the selectmen file with the town clerk notice of an election for such office not less than fifty-seven days before the date of the election.
