CHAPTER 145 AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF COUNSEL FOR CHILDREN IN CERTAIN ADOPTION PROCEEDINGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Paragraph (b) of section 3 of chapter 210 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1986 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence the following sentence:- The court shall appoint counsel to represent the child in the proceeding unless the petition is not contested by any party.
