Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The commissioner of the metropolitan district commission, shall annually declare the last Saturday in June as "Winthrop Beach Awareness Day", and shall by proclamation and by other appropriate activities, recommend that exercises relative to such day be observed in the town of Winthrop.
