Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 87MM of chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1986 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "year", in line 12, the words:- ; provided, however, that a person seeking such renewal shall provide evidence of such continuing education as the board shall require by regulation.

SECTION 2. The continuing education provisions of section eighty-seven MM of chapter one hundred and twelve of the General Laws, inserted by section one of this act, shall apply to persons seeking renewal of registration under said section eighty-seven MM on or after January first, nineteen hundred and ninety-one.
