Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The Adams-Cheshire Regional School District, consisting of the member towns of Adams and Cheshire may by amendment to its regional school district agreement provide that members of said regional district school committee may be elected at large from the district at the annual town election for each town.

SECTION 2. The amendment entitled "Amendment with regard to the election of Adams-Cheshire Regional School District Committee" providing for the nomination and election of members of the regional school district school committee at large from the district is hereby ratified, validated and confirmed.

SECTION 3. The proceedings taken at town meetings held in the town of Adams on October third, nineteen hundred and eighty-eight, and the town of Cheshire on May ninth, nineteen hundred and eighty-eight, at which said amendment was considered are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed to the same extent as though this act had been in full force and effect at the time of said proceedings.

SECTION 4. The annual town elections for the towns of Adams and Cheshire shall be held on the first Monday in May in each year.

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
