Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. The deputy commissioner of capital planning and operations acting for and in behalf of the commonwealth is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to transfer the care, custody and control of a certain parcel of land which is presently used for conservation purposes from the metropolitan district commission to the department of public works for highway purposes in conjunction with the reconstruction and relocation of the Howe Street bridge, so-called, in the town of Ashland.
Said parcel is shown on a plan entitled "Parcels of Land to be Taken from The Metropolitan District Commission For The Purpose of Relocation of Howe Street in the Town of Ashland" Scale 1"-40', which plan is to kept on file with the chief engineer of the department of public works.
SECTION 2. The deputy commissioner of capital planning and operations acting for and in behalf of the commonwealth is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to transfer the care, custody and control of two parcels of land which are presently used for conservation purposes from the metropolitan district commission to the department of public works for highway purposes in conjunction with the reconstruction and relocation of the Howe Street bridge, so-called, in the town of Ashland. Upon completion of the reconstruction and relocation of said bridge the deputy commissioner of capital planning and operations is authorized to convey by deed approved as to form by the attorney general said parcels of land to the town of Ashland for highway purposes.
Said parcels are shown on a plan entitled "Parcels of Land to be Taken from The Metropolitan District Commission For The Purpose of Relocation of Howe Street in the Town of Ashland" Scale 1"-40', which plan is to be kept on file with the chief engineer of the department of public works.
