Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The town of Nantucket is hereby authorized to enact by-laws requiring the annual licensing of motor vehicle rental agencies and the payment fees for such licenses not exceeding one hundred dollars per vehicle; provided, however, no such by-law shall require the payment of a fee for a motor vehicle upon which an excise has been assessed, levied and paid under the provisions of chapter sixty A of the General Laws by said town.

SECTION 2. The action of the town of Nantucket on article 109 of the warrant for the nineteen hundred and eighty-eight annual meeting taken at the May thirty-first session is hereby validated, ratified and confirmed in all respects as though section one had been in full force and effect at the time of said action.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
