CHAPTER 292 AN ACT RELATIVE TO CERTAIN CREDITABLE SERVICE FOR EUGENE J. HURLEY, A SERGEANT IN THE CAPITOL POLICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 309 of the acts of 1983, as most recently amended by section 1 of chapter 339 of the acts of 1986, is hereby further amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, Eugene J. Hurley, a sergeant in the capitol police, is hereby authorized to continue in such position until and including July thirteenth, nineteen hundred and ninety-three, provided that he is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of his office or position.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on July first, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine.
