Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section ten of chapter forty-one of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the board of selectmen and clerk of the town of Scituate are hereby authorized and directed to include on the warrant and official ballots for the April first, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine annual town election the office of selectman to fill a vacancy for the term of one year, created by the resignation of Robert Thorndike.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
