Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. The deputy commissioner of capital planning and operations is hereby authorized, pursuant to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to lease to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, for an initial term not to exceed ten years and, after consultation with the metropolitan district commission, to extend the term of said lease for additional terms which in total shall be no more than an additional ten years, the parcel of land situated in the city of Boston, as appearing on metropolitan district commission, parks engineering division plan, accession number 39738. During the term of said lease, including any extension thereof, said land shall be used only for the purpose of providing parking for the patients and physicians of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Operation of said land shall be in accordance with such terms and conditions as the deputy commissioner, in consultation with the metropolitan district commission, requires to be included in the initial term of said lease, as well as such terms and conditions required to be in any extensions thereof.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
