CHAPTER 315 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF FAIRHAVEN TO ENTER INTO CERTAIN AGREEMENTS RELATIVE TO THE SUPPLY OF CERTAIN SEWERAGE AND SEWER RELATED SERVICES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Fairhaven acting by and through its board of selectmen is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with the city of New Bedford, acting by and through its mayor and city council, for the provision of sewer and sewer related services to a marina to be located on Pope's island in the city of New Bedford.

Said agreements may be for periods of forty years or more and shall provide that said town be reimbursed for all costs incurred in providing such services. Said agreements shall be signed by the chairman of the board of selectmen of said town and the mayor of said city.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
