CHAPTER 365 AN ACT RELATIVE TO BORROWING BY REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS FROM THE UNITED STATES FARMERS HOME ADMINISTRATION.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately allow regional school districts to incur debt financed by the Farmers Home Administration, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Clause (20) of section 8 of chapter 44 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1988 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- Regional school districts established pursuant to the provisions of any general or special law shall be authorized to incur debt for the purposes and within the limitations described in this clause.

Approved September 25, 1989.
