CHAPTER 377 AN ACT EXEMPTING CERTAIN CLERICAL POSITIONS IN THE TOWN OF FRANKLIN FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The clerical positions in the town hall of the town of Franklin, classified in the titles of clerk/typist, senior clerk/typist, and clerk/stenographer, shall be exempt from the provisions of chapter thirty-one of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. The provisions of section one of this act shall not impair the civil service status of any person employed in such positions on the effective date of this act.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
