Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the city of Lawrence, acting through its board of assessors, is hereby authorized to abate real estate taxes assessed on the property located at three hundred fifty-two Prospect street in said city in the amount of six hundred seventy-nine dollars and thirty-five cents in the fiscal year nineteen hundred and eighty-four and to refund to the estate of Dominic Pappalardo said amount.
