Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter twenty-six of the acts of nineteen hundred and twenty-eight or any other general or special law to the contrary, the board of selectmen of the town of Winthrop is hereby authorized to appoint reserve police officers in such numbers as said board deems necessary.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
