Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The second paragraph of section 49C of chapter 15 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1988 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence the following sentence:- The school improvement council shall examine program resources available through nationally validated, federally-supported, school improvement systems like the United States Department of Education's National Diffusion Network and specify, in writing, which of these resources will be utilized as a remedy to meeting the plan's specified improvement objectives.
